China’s National Pavilion Day puts spotlight on Shenzhen
The opening ceremony of China’s National Pavilion Day of Expo 2020 Dubai, Guangdong Promotion Week and a series of promotion activities of Shenzhen was held in Expo 2020 Dubai - Al Wasl Plaza on January 10, 2022.The Expo 2020 Dubai “World Qipao Spring Festival Gala” & the 32nd Miss Model of the World International Grand Final Awards Ceremony staged on China’s National Pavilion Day was hailed by guests from home and abroad and thousands of spectators amid a lively atmosphere.
The top 30 finalists of the 32nd Miss Model of the World International Grand Final fully displayed their charm and elegance at the “World Qipao Spring Festival Gala” prefaced by the four seasons spring, summer, autumn and winter. They showed to the world the profound charm of Chinese clothing culture, and a stunning legend blending the classical charm and modern beauty, through their wonderful interpretation.
With the far-reaching influence of the Miss Model of the World International Organization and through the platform of Expo 2020 Dubai, the gala offers an excellent opportunity to promote China’s culture and Shenzhen’s fashion industry. The gala, showcasing Shenzhen’s achievements in fashion industry, wowed the exhibitors and visitors at the Expo, and won their warm applause.
The “World Qipao Spring Festival Gala” & the 32nd Miss Model of the World International Grand Final Awards Ceremony dazzled at Expo 2020 Dubai. It was live broadcast and covered by CCTV, Xinhua News Agency’s division in the Middle East, and other international news media, which has produced extensive influence in the Middle East and even among overseas Chinese all over the world. The gala and the awards ceremony are an innovative way to mark the opening of the China’s National Pavilion, Guangdong Promotion Week and the beginning of a series of Shenzhen promotion activities under pandemic prevention and control, which has attracted lasting worldwide attention.
The “World Qipao Spring Festival Gala” received strong support from the China National Pavilion and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen Municipal Committee, the guidance and assistance from the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau. The event was jointly hosted by Miss Model of the World International Organization, China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd., Shenzhen Zhongyi Anna International Media Group Co., Ltd., Organizing Committee of World Qipao Spring Festival Gala Expo 2020 Dubai, Organizing Committee of the 32nd Miss Model of The World International Grand Final. After the qipao gala, the 32nd Miss Model of the World International Grand Final Awards Ceremony was held On the second day.Angelika kuzmenok from Belarus won the championship. Mariam Managadze from Georgia and Nadia Carrieri from Italy won second and third places, repsetively. Marharyta Knutova from Ukraine and Teresita Brigith Sanchez Anez from Bolivia won the fourth and fifth places, respectively.
Contestants from Turkey, Greece and Cuba won the Best National Costumes Award. Contestant from Estonia won the Best Talent Award. Contestant from Russia won the Best Glamor award. Contestant from Belarus won the Best Style award. Contestant from Brazil won the Best Dress award. Contestant from Malaysia won the Best Media Impression. Contestant from Moldova won the Best Global Friendship award. Contestant from Hungary won the Best Image award. Contestant from Israel won the Best Skin award.This year’s special award – Miss World Qipao – was won by Yang Yanwen from China.
